MEET MISSY MAE

DELIVERING RESULTS FOR THE REPUBLICAN PARTY

Missy Mae Walters is a dedicated Republican with over 25 years of experience in political campaigns and public affairs. Missy Mae is actively pursuing the role of State Central Committeewoman for Senate District 6, and she is exceptionally qualified to be a passionate representative and advocate for her district in Columbus.

Missy Mae's journey in politics began in 2006 when she assumed the role of Student and Women's Coalition Director for the Republican Gubernatorial Campaign of former Ohio Secretary of State Ken Blackwell. During this campaign, she covered vast distances, traveling over 15,000 miles in just four months while working closely with women and college campus chapters. Undaunted by the campaign outcome, her dedication led her to become a field operative for Students for Life of America (SFLA), where she successfully initiated over 20 pro-life chapters on college campuses in Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio. Missy Mae's commitment to the pro-life movement extended to her roles as a Board Member for both Dayton Right to Life and Ohio Right to Life, where she worked alongside Dr. John C. Willke.

Her impactful career continued as the Republican Pollworker Coordinator at the Montgomery County Board of Elections from 2008 to 2012, where she recruited and trained nearly 1,500 new Republican poll workers in Montgomery County.

 

In 2012, Missy Mae joined James S. Nathanson & Associates, a public affairs firm in Dayton, as a Project Manager, supporting public affairs projects, candidate fundraising, and grassroots operations for local candidates, state ballot initiatives, and Congressional and Senate  campaigns nationwide.

Her exceptional contributions earned her the prestigious Pollie Award for GOTV from the American Association of Political Consultants in 2016. By 2017, she was promoted to Senior Associate of Campaigns and Public Affairs, continuing her work in mobilizing field teams for door-to-door efforts across the country.

 

In 2015, she joined the Trump for President Campaign, playing a pivotal role in coordinating and assisting with Ohio's Ballot Access. Subsequently, she served as the Regional Political Director for Southwest Ohio, significantly contributing to the historic shift from blue to red in Montgomery County during the campaign.

 

Throughout the 2016 Trump Campaign, Missy Mae traveled to several states during the primary, supporting grassroots operations that helped secure Donald Trump as the Presidential candidate. In recognition of her outstanding leadership and contributions, Missy Mae received a Presidential appointment to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) in 2019, serving as the Regional Director of Farm Production and Conservation (FPAC).

 

Currently, Missy Mae Walters serves as the Director of Communications and External Affairs for Montgomery County Treasurer John McManus, making history as the first Republican Treasurer of Montgomery County in 92 years.

 

Missy Mae is a highly accomplished professional with a diverse educational background. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, a Master of Public Administration (MPA), a Master of Business Administration (MBA), and a Master of Arts (MA) in Human Resources. Additionally, she possesses a certificate in conflict mediation.
